NumbSkullz Street Gear Ltd. is a company based in Burnaby, British Columbia. The company was founded on the premise of making protective equipment reflect the needs and desires of youth in sporting activities where helmets and other safety equipment will help reduce injuries in the interest of child and public safety.
The goals of the RAD BC project are to:
• Solidify a commitment to helmet safety use across a variety of sporting activities.
• Provide students a low cost opportunity to design their own safety helmets.
• Implement a variety of teaching techniques and skills across curriculum areas.
• Utilize school resources to make the project interactive combining technology, creative art, science and social studies.
• Provide opportunities for artists and teachers to extend the program to the entire school and other districts throughout the Lower Mainland.
• Develop a fun and cool program that will directly benefit students and staff.
• Display the completed designs within the school and with local media.
